in my house growing up it was my mom’s rule that if you cooked dinner you didn’t have to clean up after. So, you guessed it, i learned to cook.
I didn’t know then how much i would come to appreciate and adore it, i was just Dodging dish duty. But over time i grew to cherish time in the kitchen and fell in love with everything about it… the vast array of colors and flavors, all of the shapes, textures, and aromas. Later I would learn to love the way food brings people together around a table, the way it influences and blends cultures. how it not only feeds and nourishes our bodies but it is also a creative expression of who we are and where we come from. food is art! and then you get to eat it.
Food Has also given me the opportunity to pursue my passion for seeing the world. i have worked in restaurants since i was sixteen and that not only deepened my culinary education but provided me the freedom and opportunity to travel. on one of these vagabond adventures I picked up a camera and I haven’t put it down since.
My ultimate goal Is not to just capture beautiful images of food, but to encapsulate in an image the heart and soul that went into it’s creation.
